TEXTING WITH SUGDEN
Brandon Sugden makes his first bid for an NHL job tonight when the Islanders play the Broad Street Bullies in London, Ontario. We just traded punches a few texts and I kicked his butt.
CB: Comment for my blog as you embark on ur first game with the NYI?
Sugden: On bus rt now to London. Guess just that I’m really pumped and have some butterflies in my stomach but I am really excited! Happy to be able to c my family
CB: Who’ll be there?
Sugden: Wife, son, dad, mom. I have been working real hard in Moncton and I hope I show that I am able to play on the Islanders
CB: What do u think the butterflies are for?
Sugden: Gotta geta coupla firsts out of the way. First shift first hit first fight. Guess I can wait for my first pt or goal LOL

Gee. Would have been NICE if this game was being televised somewhere. Good luck Brandon. Don’t worry about the butterflies. They don’t eat much.
I’d love to have the privilege to talk to a guy like Sugden. He seems like a very down to earth, smart person. Considering his dad’s fight, I only pray that he will get the opportunity to play in an N.H.L game before anything in his family may occur. I have dealt with cancer in the family numerous times before, and it is something that is very trying on everyones will-power and strength. Good luck to you tonight Sugden!
