I do believe it is in part to protect them to some degree. As for NFL? The best question for Chris is where the pressure needs to be applied to get a change in policy. This page and Greg Logan have both been hitting on the subject in just about every piece of writing, but it hasn't effected any change yet. What can be done proactively to change their minds?
