UMMM…LET ME GET BACK TO YOU
Qs I’ve been asked over the last three weeks
Some questions I’ve been asked recently that I’m not in much position to answer, refuse to or can’t get to right now:

- After the game, are you bringing Gordon out to meet the press or are you first opening the locker room?
- No, really – what’s up with DiPietro‘s knee?
- Is Sugden like your cousin or something?
- Is Garth still talking to you?
- Can you talk to Mr. Dolan about not giving us C-Span when the Islander game’s supposed to be on?
What’s up with the Lighthouse Project? Can’t you do something about that Johnette Howard column? Aren’t you pissed the Rieber/Baumbach blog seemed to take a shot at you? Can’t you try to start a movement to have Butch Goring back as coach? Aren’t you too old for Facebook? Can you still get me a job at the Islanders? Can you still get me those Metallica tickets? (Friends, this I swear: on the Lighthouse thing, the moment I get decent-quality information, I will write it).
What could you possibly teach at Hofstra – how to moderate a Steve Stirling press conference?
- Now that you’re not with the team, can you give me Campoli‘s cellphone number?

WOW… Some of these questions are VERY interesting to say the least!
Little scary folks!
(sorry for the misspelling, the boss came into my office). -
LOL… I needed the pre-lunch giggle. Very cute.
PS: You’re never too old for anything and I’m sure those students learned more from you during your lecture than they ever could from a textbook. Thanks for laughs.

Cablevision did something right for hockey fans and gave us NHL Network in HD!!! Channel 791(i think).

Shhhh!! You were supposed to keep that between you and m… uh- um, I mean- haha how funny!
-
seriously, this is the greatest hockey blog out there now, i check it at least 3 times a day. i love this. thank you so much.
-
Great stuff.
You might not be able to answer this either but why are the Isles so hated on? I’m just referring to the Blackhawks situation because if the Isles did this with Ted Nolan, the media would be all over us. It seems like the Hawks are getting a free pass but I don’t see why as both organizations have been floundering for years. (If anything the Isles have been better) Thoughts?
-
About Blackhawks… Site-who-shouldn’t-be-named posted that Chicago is looking for a 2 line center and this person might Mike Comrie… What can we get from Hawks, hypothetically?
-
Wellwood is on waivers. Pick him up and trade comrie for ????
-
Why would you want anyone from the Blackhawks? The Isles have enough of their own problems. Who needs to trade for Chicago’s problems!
-
Darren they loads of young talent. Not saying they could get any for Comrie, but it’s not like they have garbage over there. Plus Guerin’s time is up. He is brutal. He should be dropped to the 3rd line.
-
I didn’t see any shots in Rieber/Baumbach’s blog. What did they say?
-
Who cares about their problems? I want players and draft picks…
But you are right, realistically there are no people to get excited about, besides Toews and Kane. Can you imagine Toedrag for Toews…? Nice!!!!!
-
I hear ya Jaxx. I almost died last night when Guerin missed that open net one timer.
-
Now Toews and Kane I would take!
-

Do they still have that cool organ from the old arena?
-
CB! What do you mean, those are some great Questions! LoL! We need answers!! Ha!
-
Snow’s learned his lesson, from the Zhitnik deal in ’06-’07, to not to trade potential impact players to ‘contenders’ before the deadline. Comrie still might ship out at the beginning of March, but it’ll likely take picks and a moderate prospect.
-
any word on who were getting back botta. Thats assuming we trade our best fighter comrie the hEavyweight on the team~
-
I don’t know how much Comrie would fetch at the deadline, Ryan. We may be over-valuing him. Have you seen what Ottawa sent to Phoenix to get Comrie at the deadline two seasons ago?
-
…near the deadline, rather.
-
?????
-
You have to give this team credit for last night…I mean we are missing 3 of our top6 D-MEN. Our Franchise goalie is still hurt , and our top 2 fwds where actually playing when we last won a playoff series- Think on that
Im not saying we are going to win many games but i see a little Buffalo Sabres from 2006 in this team- let the kids develop together in the nhl
Also the kid im really waiting to see is Robert Figren he has been tearing up the sweedish elite league since he came back from injury-That kid is the game breaker (Ziggy Pallfy clone) that we have not had since Ziggy Stardust
-
Yeah that Figren was very good at the WJC last year. Really looking forward to him making the team next year.
-
CB any word on the monster dressing tomorrow night? I love this blog. Keep up the good work…..
-
hawks have some nice prospects ready for the nhl not named Toews/Kane
bolland,kontiola
-
idk comrie loves it here and him with duff = publicity on the island. maybe if we resigned him in the offseason. like keith tkachuk
-
I can’t really see Comrie going anywhere and why would you want him to unless you’re going to be getting an NHL ready player back of similar skill. Comrie-Park-Okposo line seems to be gelling nicely so far and why tinker with that 4 games in? Comrie is a very nice second line center, who should be playing Center and not wing.
-
Ryan: “…who should be playing Center and not wing.”
Absolutely. I couldn’t figure out what that little experiment was all about for a team that is pretty weak up the middle to begin with.
-
Cool, thanks CB. I’ll check in later tonight when the wife and kid are sleeping.
-
Hey Chris – no one asks you about the ice girls?
-
Great comments, Chris……..your blog has become ‘a daily must read’……..

THAT is hilarious! And you thought dealing with the media was tough. Having a blog is like working in retail. You deal with all kinds of winners! Ha!
