I think the next step is for Wang to moan over how much money he’s losing and fans to be irate and the government to do nothing because it only wants the arena overhauled/fixed.

And after that Wang will complain about losing money. Wonder what effect a winning team with a legit team Prez and legit GM would have on motivating the County and town to act?

We’re trying to convince them to put a new paint job and motor into a Pinto.

does anyone know what the “next step” is? what has to happen next??????? why can’t anyone let us know? i just don’t understand… what has to happen next? who has to approve something? it’s always this vague thing that the county has to get things moving. HOW????!!!!!! what is the next freaking step in this thing?

I think it’s safe to say at this point with all the attention it’s been getting not just from a local stand point, but all around, they know something has to be done one way or another.
Hopefully we wont lose the team over a new arena, but if they don’t do something soon, they say it might happen, but I really doubt it will come to that.

Wang saved the Isles? Oh boy. He saved them from Gutkowski and firing Milbury and building a new arena (not using the NVMC) all without the adamant condition that Wang gets housing units, business complexes and shopping all on taxpayer owned land he would get for free.

I’d rather the Isles were never saved, and were subject to the wolves (Gutkowski and Koppelmann) who just wanted the team and to build a new arena.

We’d be a far better team and selling out a new arena, but hey, Wang, with the help of D’Amato (who worked for SMG and Computer Associates) and SMG’s refusal to budge on a buyout amount and the County’s refusal to help…..well, Wang got to save us. Woohoo.

i’m glad to hear your optomism about the lighthouse project nick. that’s a good sign. bailey had two great passes in the first period (one to sim, the other to okposo). too bad neither could finish. isles have to step it up a notch b/c the sens look determined to win this one.

It’s also yooge (bigger than huge) that we held Ottawa scoreless even though they came out flying. If the Isles can keep them on their toes they might get frustrated and relapse into their old play.
