Hey im tired, my typos prove this..
So this is it in trying to get you to undertsnad.. youwnat the last rhteroical word go for it..

Enforcer is needed full time period!

Corrections& Add one….
*4TH point valid!
*Illogical… difenately..
*4th Enforcer is needed full time not a glorified ahl /middleweight/ ocassional 4th line goal scorer.
*make a difference in stndings or devolpment of team jackman 5 -7 goals?
big deal If we are worrying as we should about the devolpment of youth in this Rebuild.. then worry about players being ggod enough that we are not talking about 4th line minutes for them… becuase lets face it 4th liners are alot easier to find then 1st through 3rd liners..

A true top notch enforcer is worth more then most average 4th liners .. especially when he can skate and WIN FIGHTS.. not be a punching bag for the opponent.

Again if it turnes out he this is Snows fault & problem right now!
he has yet to deliever what the rest of the league is.. a full time enforcer period!

A complete & fundametally sound NHL team has a full time enforcer, we dont!

Tanking season and crushing morale on purpose….hmmm?

yet with the early parity in this league from #6 seed to 15 being seperated by 4 games… and already throwing in the towell by putting out a line up devoid of a legit Enforcer.. weak sign , weak message to league & fans NG!

Im not seeing your point because its a weak one…

If hes not bale to play a whats required of an enforcers Ice Time these days… blame it Snow, who was quoted as saying he would find us one who could this summer..
second again losing a fight in a phsical sport is not good for morale….
third.. jackman is not an enforcer..period!

Third if you think taking away a few minutes of Ice Time in this particular year or any year is going to make a diffrence on a 4th line basis.. your missing the big picture.

4th your contradicting yourself & the game (TODAY)…
You never said we do not need a guy to fight..
hmmm. okay your just saying we do not need one to win that much either right..

as well you speak of 5 or 6 years ago hockey .. what are you watching this year…
every team rolls out a fourth line player.. Atlanta plays same system as ours… Boulton is no speed demon or goal scoring machine yet he fits in the same system we have?

The NY Islanders Owe it to their team & their fans.. Snow to be precise.. screwed it up this summer if fritz can not keep up… i think its a cop out one way or another.. Jackman scores a few more goals will it back a difference in the standings with this skill level of a team that plays this year on the Island…

your point is illiogical in this game.. stop paying attention to what the media says .. watch the game.. they need an Enforcer not a 4th line 5 to 7 goal scorer a year.. thats supposed to be Andy Dilbert’s role!

I guess you are not seeing my point…I never said they don’t need a guy who will fight, but I don’t want a guy who will play 1 or 2 minutes a game. I want a guy(like Jackman) who will go out there play 8-10 mins a game and not hurt the team in those 8-10 mins. You shouldn’t be going with 3 1/2 lines in this system. You need to be able to roll four lines. Is it mere coincidence how the third period collapses started when Fritz was here and he’s only had 2:25 TOI? Now I’m not blaming Fritz but obviously he doesn’t belong if the coach doesn’t trust him being on the ice. Give me Comeau who has showed us something, if you want toughness, then give me Jackman, who might lose a few fights but won’t hurt the team on the ice and could play 8-10 mins a game

game is calledtighter now, yet much better thentwo years ago when you sneezed and went to the box..
its tic tac hookes & holds now a days,.. nothing like the stick work that started to creep back in right before and after the lockout.

(the enforcer keeps the game honest major penalities are down again this year)

plus your off the point..
Enforcers are not going to score many goals .. yes iom telling you their roles playing 2 to 4 minutes a game these days some maybe 6 .. or there to stirr it up or park there collective tails in front of the net God for bid an opprtunity to score arises..

staying on point here,.. its simple there is still very much a game in a game for the NHL Enforcers! period!

I give them alot of respect & like how it completes the whole game of Hockey.. one of the many facets oof the game that make it the greatest game on Earth.. in my book!

Ryan.. show a lttle love for the tough guy in the NHL…. like it or not he’s back! until further notice.. or at least until the economy gets better

P.S, last forgot to mention lots, of these guys are great family men as well.. much better in some regards,

then some of the stars who apply their craft in this league.. Attitudes, pompous & Arrogant at times.. (very few) yet some…I.e signing auto graphs for the kids.. wishing them well at a local eatery after the game..

you will rarely if ever meet a Tough guy off the Ice & see any of this….

always cordial & often believe it or not quiet.. once had a beer with Richie Pilon @ bertucci’s witha couple of buddies of mine after a game on night back in 96’season.
He was a Cool dude!

Okay one exception Mick Vukota…
From what I have heard
used to love going to the bars in nassau & looking to fight the Civilian population after a few drinks in the parking lot…lol.. (exception to the rule)..
Nice dinner out with my better Half nice late night Hockey chat to cap it off..

I know who its not going to be Mark Parrish. No I know he was only signed to a tryout but it would have been nice to see him in an Islander jersey again. Isles could have signed him to the $500k 2 way deal the Stars did and could have moved a hihger priced forward such as Comrie to save cap space. Congrats to Mark on a hat trick in his first game back. He could have taught the kids something about standing in front of the net like he did when he was here. Instead we let him slip away. I think he would have fit nicely on a line with Guering and Weight.
