WHILE WAITING ON OKPOSO NEWS…
…Support the March of Dimes by attending NYI-Pitt

The Islanders did not practice today. Only rehabbing injured players worked out at Iceworks today. We are awaiting word from NYI communications chief Seth Sylvan if there will be any injury announcement on Kyle Okposo. The young forward appeared to suffer an injury during the third period last night and wasn’t available for the shootout.

While we wait for an undate on Okposo, here’s a PSA on behalf of loyal Point Blank reader Christina H:

Christina and her family are major supporters and an ambassador family for the March of Dimes on Long Island. She says that a portion of the proceeds from the Islanders-Penguins game on March of Dimes Night on Thanksgiving Eve (Nov. 26) will benefit the charity.

“We would love for as many people to go to improve the donation to this great cause,” writes Christina. “The Islanders are offering special ticket pricing in most sections. I bought $75 seats in Section 210 for just $49 each).

“All Point Blank readers have to do is go to www.ticketmaster.com/nyimarchofdimes and use the code word BABIES to get the discount.”

Let Christina know via Comments if you were able to get tickets to the game. Thanks…CB

This is such a great charity to help out, I do the march of dimes walk every year, and its a good feeling when you give back, anyone who can get to the game on that night it would be two fold for you, a good night of hockey, and you’d be helping out a good cause.
Speaking of which, I hope it’ll be ok to post this here, the food pantries across long Island are hurting for food, most of them are reporting *empty and that’s not good, I know we’re all hurting these days, money’s tight but if everyone runs an gets even one box of pasta or a can of soup, every little bit helps..if you don’t know where your local food pantry is you can drop anything you have to offer at a local church.
I hope it was ok to post this here, I just wanted to get the word out.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. There is a problem currently with the promo code box on Ticketmaster. If you would like to purchase tickets, you can call Marissa Nihill directly at the March of Dimes. Her number is 516-496-2107.
    Thanks!
    Chris
