Introducing PB backup Kevin Schultz of BMR
8:25 pm, The Panera in RVC - I’m sitting across the table from Kevin Schultz, the young blogger who will contribute when I’m away on assignment for most of next week. I haven’t done a background check on Kevin, but what I know is that when he writes vile and wicked stuff at least it’s under his own name on his own blog, Barry Melrose Rocks. Like today, when he called Brad May a Duchene.
No doubt he’s probably even carved up Point Blank. But I do not care. Thought it would be good to get a younger look in the lineup. If I’m Guerin, he’s Bailey.
Kevin is a 22 years old Islanders fan from the County of Nassau. He is also a regular contributor to AOL Fanhouse while trying to graduate from the University of South Carolina.
Meeting at Panera for the free wireless, I figured we’d take a look at how far apart we are generationally. So here goes.

All 14 teams are in the lottery. However, you can only move up a maximum of four spots. So only the bottom five teams actually have a chance at the #1 pick. A team can also only move down one spot.

Joe, I grew up with the early 2000s teams. I’m 18 now, and I can safely say the 2002 Isles-Leafs series is why I fell in love with hockey. Oakey was a guy I loved for the mere fact that he was always on the ice. I would go to games, and #3 was the one number I’d see more than any other. I guess that’s what happens when you play 40 minutes a game. I loved his determination, his crazy hard shot. When he didn’t come back after the lockout, I was crushed.

WOW … pretty I’m surprised some people mentioend obscure preferences that I had also mentioned… Queensryche (Marc from Troy) & Zaxxon (Chris & JP).
To me Geoff Tate of QR has the best vocals of any male vocalist ever … but that is just me. The writing, music and lyrics are powerful.
Zaxxon … come on … that was one of the best original 3D games ever.
I’m a bit surprised that no one else mentioned Chix Parm AKA Ray Ferraro … a consistent hero during the ’93 playoffs.

FORGET praying…it won’t help. Take advantage of every enjoyable 8 YO moment that you can RIGHT NOW. Get them on videotape so you can retreat to quiet parts of the house and watch ‘em in later years.
Cuz the memories will fade, or will be ripped away from your filing cabinets by the hormonal years. Followed up by the financially sucking you dry years.
You will need those tapes to remind yourself that you really are a better person than a now deposed German dictator as well as to rationalize your current state of mind by saying.. “What the HELL was I thinking back then when I was whining about the cost of Huggies?” -
