Stress the word when healthy. Of course Snow and the team say all the right things about not being worried about him long term. How can they not be worried? As an Islander fanatic since 1995 (I know, alot of disappointing seasons in that time frame) I am worried. We all need to pray for the good health of Ricky next season !!! And the immediate future. The long term contract scares the bejesus out of me because I'm pretty sure even if the bought him out like Yashin or if he retired prematurely they are on the books cap-wise for a major chunk of his salary. The Isles have to be smart this summer and sign a backup who has proven he can handle being a #1, just in case DP is not ready. I'm thinking of a guy like Manny Legace. The other smart move would be to draft a goalie with one of their multiple 2d or 3d rd picks so that we have some future insurance. A guy like Scott Stajcer of Owen Sound (OHL) should be available.
