I loved what Dubie has done for us, but if we are going to give the kids a chance to grow & learn NOW is the time & having a top 2 pick in this years draft is an added bonus. It becomes that much harder for young players to develop when you give up 5 goals a night which happens a lot as it is. The team in general might be a year behind in that regard given all the big leads and awful third periods they have had. I know we all want that #1 pick but holding some late leads will help this team come next season. #36 you are right on.

The players become even more demoralized, start to doubt their teammates, their coach; trust is lost. Gordon's system is energetic and proactive, so players drifting away from the plan and overcompansating for the goalie would result in chaos. Mannino has lost 8 of his last 11 games, so it's not like he's exactly earning the call up. The Isles would have to sign Lawson to call him up. I think Sanford either cleared or not at 9:00 am today, so we should know soon. I say we should just go with an empty net and work on the power play for the rest of the year.
