Bruno is a great guy, great sense of humor, great for charity and great for fans ... Last summer at ice works he busted my 10 year old nephew making googlie eyes at an ice girl ... it was hilarious to see my nephew's reaction and it ended up busting up Bruno in laughter ... good times good times.

I think part of Bruno's improvement has to do with natural maturation, positive mentorship from coaching, confidence, and finally being challenged when injuries mounted. Bruno took the bull by the horns and didn't shy away from responsibility and the results were golden. Streit as a late bloomer himself saw the ability in Gervais and took him under his wing.

BR,

I will be at the game in Ottawa, got sweet seats too...

Gervais seems to be developping into a very nice defenseman...all the patience seems to be working out...It will be fun to see him play and the reste of the young guns on Saturday...

Gervais looked pretty good in the 2007 playoffs against Buffalo, then seemed to take a step backward last year.
Since Campoli has been gone, the vote of confidence has been like a shot of adrenalin and he's been great.
With Sutton coming back and the play of MacDonald and Callahan showing that they didn't embarrass themselves in the NHL this group should allow Snow to focus on top 6 forwards in the draft and in July.

Gervais is PURE gold to a GM who has to worry about cash flow limitations.
Here is another interesting stat(sorry CB)
Look who's #16.

just a couple of months ago i asked CB how disappointed snow/gordon were in bruno's lack of development. i had thought he would be a solid backline mainstay and big part of the team by now, but had fallen way short. boy was i off on that. at some point earlier this year things came together for him. maybe the injuries to other D-men kind of pushed him along, but it's clear from bruno's own words that streit's presence has been great for him. it's really cool to watch these players blossom together and form a real nucleus on an improving team. it's been so long.

Off topic, but if Dougie Weight, respected NHL vet, wants to stay, and believes the turnaround for this team can be a quick one, that attitude & way of thinking can really help out a guy like bruno, confidence is everything

Like i said, If isles Sign Danis as reliable back up and back up if DP goes down again, With this team, this system and JT in lineup. Im almost certain isles can be playoff team.

Do i think we are cup contenders. Not yet. but would be nice to see isles go in to playoffs and at least make first round splash.

Seems like respect for isles from other teams has gone up considerably.

God i hope we can stay in last place.

Gone are the days that me and my buds called him "Brutal" Gervais.

I can't tell what clicked, but Bruno is playing a bigger, stronger, faster game.

Nothing Brutal about his game anymore.

Bruno could end up being a top 4 dmen if he can add a little more offense to his game. I am really liking his play more and more..

Happy to see Bruno get some positive recognition. I think he has yet to reach his full potential. Having Mark Streit as his defense partner has certainly helped his confidence. Glad to see it. And have I stated how happy I am that we have Mark Streit? He is such a great addition to this team.
