Because the 00 part of the plug is the center, the flares at each end are larger than the center so if you really want them in i recomend buying one single taper of the next size up and put that in briefly to stretch it a tiny bit biger (dont go all the way up the taper, just a little past 00) then pop it in.

to 75 – yeah, you’re right, typically a torn meniscus doesn’t end a players career. But it’s also not supposed to keep a player out for more 6 weeks, either. 3 consecutive surgeries? Still on crutches?

There are obviously bigger problems there.

Hall of fame goalie. Ha. Give me a break. He’s never had a season of stats (EITHER GAA or sv%) in the top 5 of the league. The majority of his seasons have had mediocre stats, most of which have been in the lower half of starting goalies stats. Pull your head out of your azz. He’d have to get significantly better than he is now, and then maintain that for many years to come. He was absolutely not on his way to a hall of fame career.

(81)… Yeah, you did – 15 year contract not ring a bell? While we’re at it, before Streit arrived, Rick was also this team’s only All-Star (regardless how some of you want to belittle that) and Olympian. All of that = franchise player, whether you like it or not.

i don’t know if i believe that dp will ever be back, but to wish him harm is just wrong and how does anyone know what goes on behind the scenes, we only know what we are fed by the media, who only know what they are fed by management.

let’s just hope next season is better.

and garth, please don’t screw up the draft.

Cowboy? lmao…can’t help but laugh everytime I read that one. It’s sweetened a bit by the whole “wishing harm on a fellow human being”. The guy plays hockey for a living, is it necessary to wish harm on him? Did he do something to you personally?

He pretty much held this team in the playoff race last year, until he got hurt. I have no doubt that if he can get healthy and stay that way he’ll win us some games on his own.

Martin Brodeur has said DP is a good goalie…I think thats pretty high praise coming from the all-time best. Plus being in division he certainly had a good amount of looks at him. Btw I don’t think Martin is the end all be all on the matter, but who is going to say they’d be a better analyst of skill then the guy who is the best?

I suppose that I should say that I can’t believe the negativity coming from so many people with little or no justification.

Ricky is a true #1, franchise type goalie when healthy. When he hasn’t it’s been a result of the butterfly style that has become THE style in the league (in spite of Brodeur). Hip troubles are natural from the butterfly. As for the concussions, they come from trying too hard. I believe Ricky’s contract is insured for 6 seasons at a time, but a rolling 6 years so that once he completes year 9, insurance should cover completely.

as #81 said, he is a good goalie who can be a real good goalie but he is never going to be great, even without the injury issues. so what if he was an all-star, so have plenty of other players who weren’t that good. he will never be a top 5 goalie in this league and even top 10 is a bit of a stretch. basically he is an average starting goalie in this league, no better. which is sad considering everything surrounding him from day 1 with the draft/luongo trade and his contract. signing a UFA who can handle the starting duties next season is a must, as is getting a young potential #1 in the system via draft or trade.

At the 2000 draft party when Sanjay Kumar announced they were drafting Dipietro over Heatley or Gaborik I was ready to raise hell. Here we are 9 years later, it still looks like total failure. Pretty sad that we still have to clean up Milbury’s mess. Even the most passionate fan is fed up.

Lundqvist drops down, that’s what a butterfly goalie does. Ricky flops from post to post. He takes himself completely out of the play.
