I am 100% for the Lighthouse Project. It would be a tragic step backwards for Long Island and a detriment to its future if this project is not approved. It’s time for Long Island to stop being “30 minutes from Manhattan” and start being a destination in itself. I support the Lighthouse!

I am FOR the Lighthouse project. Build it. By not going through with this project you are asking Long Island to fail. It is bad enough that my generation of Long Islanders are being priced out of our home towns. Do not take away the Islanders.

I am totally FOR the project. Job creation, tax revenue, and not costing the tax payers in Long Island a penny. Although I am from Queens and love the Islanders, fans do visit restaurants and entertainment places after the game which would help the economy in the TOH. Lets JUST ZONE IT and JUST BUILD IT! Meet me at the Lighthouse!

Beautifully designed. Long Island NY needs a proyect like this! Sports, shopping & entertainment in a trendy modern place will bring lots of “spending” costumers… much needed for our economy…
Furthermore, the proyect will generate tons of jobs!! and tax $$$… and Uncle Sam definately likes this!

I am FOR the lighthouse. I am 1) an Islander fan, and 2) a TOH resident. For hockey, a refurbished arena and a team here to stay. For non-hockey, a place to go before the game (our options are not too impressive right now btw). A place to bring my kid ice skating outdoors. Affordable (hopefully) apartments for those younger than me. Come on, how many of us when we were in our 20s (I’m pushing 40) would have loved a place like that to live and work? This project creates a lot of jobs and makes it a destination. The mall around the corner is not a destination. How many of you have gone to a sporting event outside of NY and enjoyed the surrounding area before and after a game? Look at it, we don’t have that right now. Issues to deal with (traffic, garbage, etc.), but well worth the effort to take a chance and make put LI on the map once again.

I opposed the lighthouse project…local office buildings are not full…there are plenty of places to shop already… Roosevelt Field and Merchants Concourse right near by…downtown Garden City…re-furbish the Coliseum…go for it…but more than that…it is just not necessary…

Keep Hockey in LI. The project will stand to employee a lot of people and help out LI economy for the future.
What is really the main problem with the idea?
Remember, the complex will not only be about hockey.
