number 1 on the shopping list for the Islanders Organization should be a GM that’s not a laughing stock. we haven’t had that since Torre.

I like the ideal of a play-in, but with 8th & 9th placed teams. I did not hear any laughing when the 1984 Stanley Cup final was played in a “2-3-2″ format to save on travel!!

Until the NHL stops rewarding a point for an OT/SO loss, regulation wins should be worth 3 pts.

Was Taveras even eligible to play in the AHL? I thought that as long as he has Jr eligibility, he could not play in the AHL.

NHL commish needs to have a little pow-wow w/ CW and Snow about the state of this franchise and the direction it appears to be heading down.That suggestion in itself about playoffs really summarizes what this management team/owner is all about.CW is not about winning,doesn’t care about hockey.What he wants is to enhance his investment anyway he can w/o investing any real resources(like a professional hockey staff from front office to scouts to coach to GM)He wants to be a control-freak owner w/ 2cnd rate people around him and pitch these cookey ideas on how to fool the fanbase w/ an inferior product.This team has not been right since the Pickett ownership and its sad that the league has allowed this to go on.You want to expedite the Isles up in the air arena deal throw in the fact the NHL will use the Rags and Sabres as barganing chips.If the polititions on the Isle can’t seem to get motivated maybe NY losing 3 teams might motivate them.Crazy idea but so was the everyone makes the playoffs deal.

T’was weeks before the playoffs and all at the rink. Would see Garth and Charles laughed and chuckled because they knew we stink.

Not a fan could found with the seats bare. Visions of a top draft choice would soon be there.

The players on the bench all snuggled in sweat. Knew they they could tune out Gordon with nuttin to fret.

With only 4 weeks left…You could almost hear…thank god cause we are outta here.

If you believe Snow and Wang on anything your just plain stupid.!!!!!!

That power play is whats wrong with this organization as a whole. 4 on 3 powerplay with a chance to win in OT and you send out fricken Bruno Gervais. Are we kidding? What a god damn joke.
