I am very excited about the game tomorrow night. I think the guys are gonna do great. Disappointed that we wont be seeing Nino, Hillen, or Hamonic though. I was hoping they’d be at the Coliseum.

  2. avatar Mike from Philly says:

Surprised Nino or Ullstrom won’t be playing in the game at the Coliseum, and my heart goes out to Hillen in Quebec. Based on that roster against the Habs, that game could get ugly.

  3. avatar Original Rob says:

The Isles should pick up Kyle Wellwood- he was released by the Coyotes today. Please end the Andy Hilbert experiment.

  4. avatar Numbers65 in OHIO says:

WOW! Game sold out in Quebec to see a 2nd string lineup. Sounds like they want some local NHL action over there real bad.

  5. avatar bob says:

    wheres Jurcina?

  6. avatar IslanderFAN says:

@Mike from Philly – it wont get ugly the Habs are mediocre team 9dont be fooled by thier playoff success it was all due to Halak he was stopping 50 shots each game) and beside Carey Price will be in goal thats the good news for the Isles B Team.

  7. avatar 19 Isle in NJ 22 says:

Isles will be home on the score sheet … but lets be real. The majority (if not the entire arena) will be rooting for the Habs.

It’s a shame that the originally proposed trip to China interfered with the Isles’ exhibition schedule … but China trip or not. They should of setup a Normal exhibition schedule. Seven games (non-split) and then spread out the kids knocking on stardom’s door among those games. This experiment is a big failure / Confidence crusher.

  8. avatar Jim Clark says:

So a split squad exhibition game at the Coliseum (although Fort Neverlose will have most of the good players) with regular season ticket prices and no TV. Do the Islanders want to stay here?

Also wonder how many fans in QC will be cheering for the Canadiens and how many are Nordiques fans who root for whomever is playing Montreal.

  9. avatar Potvin#5 says:

Hamonic is listed for the Habs game. I thought there was a post about him being injured? Is he OK? That’d be great news if so.

  10. avatar brian says:

The Isles are kind of embarrassing themselves. What are with these split squad scheduling conflicts? Is this Spring Training baseball? I’m sure Quebec City is pleased with the pile of crap the isles are sending thier way.

  11. avatar Mike says:

Would have been nice to see El Nino at Coliseum, but on the bright side we don’t have to watch Chef Bruno.

  12. avatar Ray says:

To those who wonder about the split squads. A lot of teams do it. AnHeim, LA, SJ, Phoenix and Vancouver have all done it this season. It’s not like we’re breaking new ground here.

  13. avatar ERIKA TENCIC says:

My worry: How are we going to have a cohesive team if we do not play even ONE game together before the season starts? I am looking forward to watching the young guys play, even though some of the wind was knocked out of me with the loss of Streit and Oki. But hey, you never know, we could be surprised with someone stepping up big-time. FINGERS CROSSED!!GO ISLES!!

  14. avatar Brian G says:

looks like Rahkshani is getting a serious look…maybe Martin is more injuried than what they say…will Nino get his 9 game audition?

  15. avatar Stanroy says:

Ive paid 102$ for me & my girlfriend to see the game tonight at the coliseum, gotta tell you im disapointed a lot to see that isles can’t even send an Ahl level line-up. Coliseum is sold out and isles stadium will be empty as always. What a shame.

  16. avatar jimmy says:

3 pre season games is ridiculous though.. are we going for a top pick again?? we might open up 0-5 cause guys arent ready!!! tavares will only play 2 pre seasson games. look at kovalchuk he has played atleast 5 so far… anyway all that aside im excited to see how some players develop this year.. lets go isles!!

  17. avatar isles71 says:

    1-0 montreal…early

  18. avatar isles71 says:

    make it 2-0 early

  19. avatar isles71 says:
