Good stuff here from the opinionated Glenn Healy, goaltender for the 1992-93 Islanders. Recorded last week.

CB, thks for doing these–great to hear what Healy had to say. I wonder if we were sitting down to a beer, far away from media, if he would be more “negative” on this organization?

Can they replace Butchie with Healy

nice… funny to hear what he said before we hit the skids

Great stuff, Chris. Glenn is a class act. Still remember the “Heals and Flats” segments. Super job as a live commentator, keep it up!

Healy for NHL commish!!! My favorite quotes:

    “Winning heals all.”

    and

“It’s not the name on the back of the jersey that matters, it’s the name and legacy on the front.:

Great interview…thanks CB. Winning does fix all. That’s why I don’t totally believe the building should come before the winning team. Wang should put the horse before the cart and see what happens. He just may get everything he wants and we get a winning team.

Too bad he gave a bunch of horse crap as an answer to your question about his assinine Isles comments.

  8. avatar Bruce says:

    Nice job Chris

absolutely one of the best if not the best quote that we will ever hear about its not the name on the back of the jersey but the crest and the legacy on the front of the jersey that means everything. too bad wang will never understand that.

Surprised to hear Healy saying anything positive about the Isles. Every time I’ve heard him on TSN he’s had nothing but disparaging remarks about the Islander organization. Was this a paid interview? LOL
