    Wow that was bad.

Doesn’t matter if it’s bad,….I just hope it’s true! So far, J.T. has been the best player on the ice during every game. The rest of the boys need a lot more grit in their game for us to succeed. Do any of the vets we brought in have a goal yet? Whatever training J.T. did this summer should be mandatory for all Isle players!

It’s as true as Alexander Daigle, Patrick Stephan, Gord Kluzak or Brian Lawton (The list could go on) having inevitable superstar seasons just because its a few years after they have been drafted.
While the majority of the others (in the last 20 drafts)have had great seasons i also agree Tavares is going to be a success in this case.
    But saying it’s “inevitable” ?
I would expect this sort of article from one of the many delusional Montreal Canadiens writers.
I still enjoy reading even when i disagree lol

On a positive note, Anders Lee is the NCAA’s leading scorer (or #2), and is a top early candidate for the Hobey Baker award.

Big kid, grit with talent, improving all the time. He probably could be in the NHL right now. Baily aad Okposso better look in their rear view mirror’s, since Brock Nelson and Lee are closing in fast.

Really looking forward to when Lee, Nelson, Nino,CC, the Kirils and Strome are on the team. They will add size, scoring and grit. JT looks like he is going to be great. The improvement from last year to this is really noticeable! Goodbye Bailey, COZO and OK! GO ISLES!

  6. avatar UIF says:

Tavares has looked very good, but it is early. I think we need to calm down with praising players who are off to a hot start and killing players who haven’t gotten it going yet. If the entire season could be written in 7 games, then we’d have to believe Dallas is the best team in hockey, Vancouver barely makes the playoffs, San Jose is a lottery team, Phil Kessel is the best player in hockey, and Nikolai Khabibulin and Jonathan Quick are the best goaltenders in the league. Sound ridiculous? It should, but that’s how things stand now. The moral of the story: It’s extremely early and many things will change. Let’s lay off KO, and lets hold off before declaring Tavares the second coming. 20 games at least before we make declarations like this.

We’re already trashing our current players and pumping up the next wave of talent. God help those prospects if they crack the lineup in a year or two and don’t light up the league in 5 games…we’ll be calling for Anders Lee’s head!

JT has “IT”! You can tell when he speaks how passionate he is. Not all players have IT! But JT does, he will lead us to the promised land! He just plain has “IT”!

  8. avatar Blizzard says:

I agree JT has it. I was such a KO fan but where is his game? Im beginning to wonder, he has been around long enough has he topped out? I disagree with UIF, it isnt early for some of these guys. KO, Baily Comaeu should all be looking in the rearview mirror. I would start benching some more guys for a wake up call. Cant wait to bench someone to give a healthy Nino a good look.

Capuano needs to tell them their jobs on the line. Yes, Rolston and Staios will score some. Leadership counts too.

  10. avatar Paul says:

@#4…..enough with the penciling in of players who have proven nothing as NHL level. It adds up to nothing.

  11. avatar The New Isles GM says:

With Strome, Lee and Nelson eventually someone will go for a major trade. Let’s be real, we’re not signing anyone. We haven’t since Mark Streit. But he wasn’t a stud D man yet. We saw the potential in him. Garth (being known as an aggressive GM) will eventually pull the trigger somewhere to take this team to a 7th-8th seed team to a 4-6th playoff team. Moves have to be made. Granted right now may be a bit early and premature, in order for us to land a legit player to either play along side JT or run the second line center duties, something will have to give. For now, let’s watch Montoya and Nabokov fight over starting goalie duties. That alone ladies and gentleman, is a good problem to have.
