JAY PANDOLFO OUT 4-6 WEEKS WITH BROKEN FOOT

by Kevin Schultz on November 28th, 2011 at 1:11 pm

This now leaves the Islanders with one healthy scratch for tomorrow night’s game against Buffalo. Expect a call up. Justin DiBenedetto returned to action for Bridgeport on Sunday. Could he be next?

This is the only way to get this guy out of the lineup. It’s like DP…at least when he’s injured, the team’s hand is forced and they cannot use him. Keep Pandolfo on the shelf the rest of the season. Hopefully DiBo comes in and keeps the job.

  2. avatar Hishutzi Skorz says:

If it takes an injury to get the youth movement going in the right direction, so be it. First Eaton, now Pando. Maybe Mottau and DP can tweak something soon too!

  3. avatar isles71 says:

And who is that healthy scratch…Nino? JDB deserves the chance and boy do I hope that they start Montoya in goal. If this team even has the slightest hope of getting back into it,have to WIN 3 of the 4 road games…so only 2 more guys! Hate to say, but injuries to Pandolfo and Eaton maybe the best thing for us(you too Nabby).

  4. avatar peter debenedetto says:

    DiBo the next Duane Sutter

  5. avatar Junior junior says:

Sorry pando broke his foot but…….was he really producing anyway?

Also, Bruce Budreau was let go by the caps today……oppertunity for the isles to land a better coach? I remember when we beat the caps earlier this season Bruce said in a between period interview that he believed in the depth of talent on the island……

  6. avatar MarioGazz says:

Jay, thanks for producing one point for us. Love Cappy but if you have a chance to land Budreau, do it.

  7. avatar Brian G says:

    Call up Cizikas or Dibo

Also fire Capuano and Hire Boudreau! but we all know Wang doesn’t like to spend money and improve the team…its all about staying at the cap floor, Good Job Garth.

  8. avatar Chris R says:

I can see Bruce as a future coach of the Isles. Now lets fire Garth.

  9. avatar Mario M says:

Ok, we might be improving daily by these guys getting injured. Can we hire the Zamboni guy to take DP and Mottau? I say we start collecting for this. I pledge $50. I want both them unable to walk when it is all done. DP should be easy – he can barely stand right now.

  10. avatar Mario M says:

    • avatar jimfromstjames says:

This is a Cold, cold hearted idea…..but I’ve got 50 Bucks too.

how much more for Eaton & Reasoner??

But seriously folks, funny that the closer they get to the line up at the end of last season, the better they look, No?

  11. avatar The New Isles GM says:

Would love for Bruce Bourdreau to become the coach here but also feel he doesn’t deserve that kind of abuse. Let’s be real, he’ll wind up being a puppet to Wang and Snow which will ultimately affect the way he does things behind the bench. I love his philosophy, short temper and passion. After 24/7 you could only feel for him trying to motivate these “classy” Russians to play the game both ways. He’ll most likely land a job somewhere soon. Please, please let Nino see the ice from here on out. The kid needs to play if he’s going to be a force on this team, none the less want to stay on this team.

  12. avatar Glens says:

I say fire cappy and hire Boudreau, it can’t hurt right. It’s Nov, 28 and the P/Offs are fading already and for the most part we (they) can’t use injuries as an excuse this season.Sometime’s change is GOOD Garth, I like Cappy but it appears the players have tuned him out. Keep him in the organization but just not as the head coach.

    • avatar Bean322 says:

I know you are not the only one but please dont mention islanders and playoffs together…not happening

    • avatar Numbers65 in Ohio says:

Boudreau is a hockey guy with alot of respect, why would Wang want him, he needs unestablished people who need a stepping stone or resume builder. And Bruce my call them all kind of names like he did on 24/7 on HBO leading up to Caps vs Pens winter classic. That may have them play with more passion like they did when Z was here, but then again they got rid of Z for that, so I guess we are out of luck…DARN IT!

  13. avatar Strummer's Army says:

Isles don’t need to all up any players they still have too many.

I heard KATE MURRAY stepped on Pandalfo’s foot at the mall. She finally did something to help the Isles.

Don’t need Boudreau. Isles need to stop collecting all the crap other organizations throw away.

  14. avatar MCG1 says:

I agree with all of the previous posts, there is a God, thank you! If only DP could be next!

  15. avatar Sidd Finch says:

Still not word one about NINO actually dressing for the next game. WTF!!! Bring up the stick boy for all I care, but get NINO on the freaking ice or make a trade for cap space and send him back to juniors. I never saw a young player get better by sitting in the press box!!!!!!!!!!

    • avatar Numbers65 in Ohio says:

Yes lets see what he can do for this team. What the heck? Maybe they think he has more value as a unknown commodity then if he plays with this team that is in a funk.

  16. avatar The Sick one Six says:

DiBo is too SOFT to play in the NHL. He played a few games last year and did nothing. Ulstrom is more of a physical player and he can’t create space to do anything.

  17. avatar The Sick one Six says:

I would never wish an injury on a player…ever. But, I can’t say that i’m sorry that he is out of the lineup!

  18. avatar john says:

4-6 weeks without pandolfo?? omg who will we put on the ice to take time away from kids and let the opposition score late in the game? oh wait we still have reasoner…

  19. avatar MCG1 says:

Glen, it’s not about cap space, that we have, it’s about releasing / moving a guys salary and not being able to replace it so we get up to the cap floor…can you beleive that nonsense? You can only have 23 guys on the roster including 3 dopey goalies so if we cut bait with say Rolston or Reasoner we’d have to call up like 4 guys to cover his salary and we couldn’t becasue of the roster #. What a joke!

  20. avatar Danny Costello says:

    Actually excited he went down!!!

Off-topic but i think the isles should go after Chris Stewart. Huge powerful right winger who has 35 goal potential and only 6 points this season. If we can put a big guy in the corners on JT’s line, JT would be in front of the net more and that is what he needs to do. Get JT out of the corners and in front of the net PLEASEE. Stewart can be traded at a bargain right now!!! we need a trade garth!!! either him or IGINLA NOWWWWWW!!!

  21. avatar MCG1 says:

Not Glenn, I meant Sidd Finch!

  22. avatar Nick says:

Lol at the Boudreau comments. The guy is an awful coach. He was just fired because in 3 years of having a stacked team he couldn’t do anything with it. All he did on 24/7 was curse and wine I saw zero coaching. Bylsma is a coach. Boudreau is not hence the firing. Please don’t hire that guy. Please.

  23. avatar The New Isles GM says:

    Danny,

We’re not leaving the basement and Iggy is going to a stanley cup contender, not the NY Islanders. If the Blues continue to win (Hitchcock Era), they will not feel the need to have a fire sale. If anything, they will call us asking about Streit and or Okposo. We should move what we can to set ourselves up for next year. Hate to say it, but this year is a bust. I was hoping for bigger things but it’s not in the cards. We’re running at a cap min. with players that are over-age. My only hope is that next year, we cut the fat and bring in some size and speed. Talk is cheap right now. Garth’s actions will speak volumes.

  24. avatar robert Harnick says:

If you think Dibo is the next Duane Sutter, you either never saw Sutter play or have never seen Dibo play.

    • avatar peter debenedetto says:

At 42, I certainly DID see my share of games and players my friend. Different eras of course…but very similar future. Sample size too small for DiBo now. Similar Jr. careers….lots of points. Duane potted some goals in his time as pro(17avg) but put up many more penalty minutes. DiBo probably has a similar career path. Probably won’t fight that much, but will get 15 goals and agitate. Every time the kid goes to the net or corner, he’s got someone’s glove rubbing his face. This team lacks that for sure.

  25. avatar Mike says:

Hire Bodreau NOW. We have had coaches in the past 10 years with ZERO experience. He wont come here though, Wang does not like anyone with opinions – and Snow doesnt want to look like the puppet he is.

  26. avatar Michael Pastore says:

Lets see how Dale will react if Gillies hits Ove from behind after he scores a goal and seperates Ove’s shoulder.

  27. avatar Pete says:

They might actually be better off bringing up Reese or Wishart and sitting Mottau instead of bringing up another forward.

  28. avatar Bryan says:

Classy fans, wishing injuries on players.

    • avatar juniorjunior says:

not cool i agree….but this fanbase is at it’s end. we are the last of the hardcore fans. everyone else has been scared away. you are witnessing the last cries of a frustrated death. wang doesnt hear the wailing of a few upset fans….if 100,000 people got togther and made a stink…then even bettman would have to listen

  29. avatar 1972IslesFan says:

The Isles don’t need a coach, they need an owner to give a credible hockey GM a reasonable budget (the owner will then let the hockey people make the decisions).

The GM then decides who coaches and what players to sign and for how long.

You know, like a real NHL team.

  30. avatar rob hock says:

    what about Paul Maurice?

  31. avatar Jersey Steve says:

I hate to see a player get injured but unfortunately this is addition by subtraction.

Can we trade for a coach? I’ll take the underrated Barry Trotz. Now THAT is a great coach. Not sold on Boudreau although it couldn’t make the team any worse. I would rather have had Hitchcock when he was available.

  32. avatar Blizz says:

Bodreau couldnt win with a loaded team what the hell does anyone think he is gonna do with this crap heap?

    • avatar juniorjunior says:

I think it was Ovie being a primadonna thats the problem and it spread through the ranks. Ovie has the power in wash and now Dale Hunter will be stroking his shaft. Boudreau did cause the Rangers some awesome pain in last years playoffs if I recall correctly….

  33. avatar U.P. says:

Sweet Jesus….Thank You!!! A broken foot will heal, so he’ll be all good. Hopefully, he’ll never see the ice in an Isles uniform again.

With 2 down, 3 to go!!! Again, nothing serious, but seeing Mottau slip off a curb and get 8-10 with an ankle would keep the turnover in full stride.

  34. Ive said it once and I’ll say it again…when your payroll is at the league floor so will be your on ice product! Its shameful to disgrace this once glorious franchise, which is now below NHL.500 for all time, with such amateurish leadership. But, you get what you pay for!

  35. avatar Dk says:

I am sure we will sign Bob Errey today rather than dress Nino

  36. avatar Luce from GC says:

Too bad he was prettey good on the penalty kill. He was one of the better old guys and a good guy. My friend Thug met him and said he was a gentleman.

  37. avatar Jason says:

    Jeff Gillooly for Isles GM!!!

  38. avatar Staten Islander says:

Sorry dave, can we play Nino NOW?

  39. avatar Ivo says:

    AMEN! don’t come back!

  40. avatar Bean322 says:

Damn 4-6 weeks…thats it?!?! How will this team ever survive?

  41. avatar The Sick one Six says:

Here is an interesting fact! The Islanders are undefeated when leading after 3 periods of hockey…Let Cappy stay!!!

  42. avatar Hollywood says:

Next needs to be Rolston!!! Hope he pulls a groin!

  43. avatar Irish Isle says:

With the road trip, shouldnt we call up an extra defenseman?

  44. avatar Ryan says:

most teams get worse when their players get injured. this should only make us better. hopefully management notices that and keeps h im out of the line up when hes able to play again

  45. avatar AngryPete says:

I would much rather see Cizikas up than DiBo. I’m afraid DiBo is one of these players that excels in the minors but is just a marginal NHLer. I like Cizikas’ fire.

  46. avatar Fios please give me MSGHD says:

$4 tickets to games…wow – this fanbase must be energized….doesn’t Wang look at this? Again people, why would you ever buy season tickets to this team?????
    http://www.stubhub.com/new-york-islanders-tickets/islanders-vs-lightning-12-6-2011-1123137/

  47. avatar George S says:

This is the biggest “break” we’ve had all season!!!

  48. avatar Stumpy32 says:

A few have said that we’re the only team that gets better when players on the active roster get injured. It’s absolutely true – look at last year. We lost half our roster at different points of the season, and got better and better. I think management’s hand needs to be forced on this…its as if they want to rebuild, but are frightened about the prospect of a ton of 22-year olds in the lineup.

It’s hockey, not baseball. Play the kids, see what they’ve got. Having some 37-year old winger on the team does nothing, unless their name is Hull, Gretzky, or Lemieux. I’m pretty sure Pandolfo, Staios, and Reasoner aren’t on the list. My thinking is – if you’re doing well in B’port, you can do better than the crap we have.

Saturday was a great win – the only time since we started 3-1 that I felt it was a win we could build on. Don’t start DP and screw it up tomorrow…and bring up some kids, light a fire under the team, and let’s go. We’re not out of it yet….but damned close.

  49. avatar Al says:

Boudreau is the last thing this team needs.
Al Arbour in his prime couldn’t fix this mess. Total failure of ownership and management. It’s completely disrespectful to those banners and retired numbers hanging from the rafters, let alone to us fans that have stuck around.

    • avatar juniorjunior says:

I agree Al, I have to stick it out to the end though…it feels near

    • avatar Numbers65 in Ohio says:

Yes the organization is sick and diseased from lack of following any blue print of a true professional franchise. Backup Goalie GM, AHL Coach, league basement payroll, fire the head of scouting, give friends authority and lucrative contracts, 3 goalies, #1 goalie who can’t play, ouch this team hurts to like it.

  50. avatar Dk says:

No coach will matter because this is the WangSnow micromanagement show.

Plus a real coach will ask dor real money.

  51. avatar SM says:

lotta ink for a fourth line player getting hurt. hope nino suits up, and please montoya in net. the guy has earned it, his save percentage is FAR superior and hes been off since saturday afternoon so he can not be tired.

  52. avatar Joee says:

EVERYONE DONT PANIC! Pansy will be back in no time .

  53. avatar itsuksbeingislesfan says:

COMEAU , PANDO DOWNN , 3 ( MORE TO GO , ROLSTON ,REASONER , MOTTAU)

    THERE IS A GOD

  54. avatar Bob says:

Wow stub hub ticket prices for Isles games are embarrassing.. and I agree Csikas before Dibo….ANY DAY!!!!!

  55. avatar Jim Clark says:

When fans of other teams like the Rangers or Bruins speculate about whom they will get at the trade deadline, Snowang will be talking on how we are getting a player for nothing when Pandolfo comes off the IR.

  56. avatar jimmy ragusa says:

maybe if we get cathy bates to break reosoner ,mattou and dp legs well start winning oh yeah jurcina too

  57. avatar claude says:

Sorry bout’ foot. Dibenn. sucks . He was invisible during his stint last year!!

  58. avatar Jeff says:

Thank god we got a break! Pete is spot on we need to bring up a dman and scratch mattau. This dibo talk is rediculas. boudreau don’t forget made his name in the ahl. He is better with young unproven talent. Perhaps is is a better player development coach that trying to manage a team full of stars like the caps. I think he would fit nice but Garth would have to step back. Dress niño already and let’s pull off four in a row on the road

  59. avatar Stumpy32 says:

While Bourdreau isn’t the second coming of Al Arbour, the point is that someone, anyone, in this organization has to come with some cache to not have to accept the constant BS from the Wang/Snow polyanna machine. It is 100% – maybe 95% – not Capuano’s fault. He didn’t put together this roster, and it is patently unfair to fire him. However, Snow’s not going anywhere, because he’s found the exact spot on Wang’s ass to kiss that Milbury found years ago. So…who goes then? Giving up Blake Comeau won’t change things. Getting a coach with a non-Isles background could be a big addition.

  60. avatar GolfGuy says:

Leave Cizikas at the Bridge for the entire year so he can learn the pro game correctly. Either call up DiBo or claim Noodle off waivers (Noodle is much better than Pandolfo by the way). We need Mottau to either get hurt(nothing to bad just enough for him to be gone) or get waived so he is gone already.

  61. avatar billy from RYE NY says:

Again ,3 things we need ,a power scoring winger,a big bruising defensemen and a top goalie.
With that we are a threat to make the playoffs.

  62. avatar Dk says:

We will get the power winger now that Comeau can get his ear …… LOL

  63. avatar Dk says:

    I mean Iginla. Lol

  64. avatar David Saunders says:

Am I the only person who doesn’t think Pandolfo is a problem? He’s a solid penalty killer and gives up his body and blocks shots. He’s not there to score goals. Other vets such as Rolston and Reasoner were signed to help with the goal scoring.

  65. avatar Whaaaaaaaaaaaat says:

We all k ow pandolfo sucks, but he was brought in to bring veteran leadership, play pk, and block shots so I think hes one of the few players on this team who have not underachieved

  66. avatar Orange&Blue says:

NINO FREAKIN’ NIEDERREITER ALREADY!! How dumb can Garth Snow be? The kid scored 41 goals in 50 games last year in juniors! He obviously knows how to score! This team cant score. Less than 2 goals a game. Move Parenteau to 3rd line and put Nino with JT where he belongs. That is where are talent is! That is where Nino needs to learn the game! Parenteau is a vet. He can adapt to new linemates. MM and JT are the right guys to hone NN skills.

  67. avatar stevie j says:

dale s bag hunter new coach of caps.i”d like to bust his face up when he comes to the island . i was about 40 feet away when that hit happened. i remember after the game running to box office for tickets to the next round !!

  68. avatar Ray Kaats says:

Saw Sutter and DiBo. Absolutely no reason to think DiBo will be anything close to Sutter. Team needs his edge though on the 4th line. Want to bet they bring no one up for the whole road trip. Charlie is saving money and could care less if this team wins or not.

Can’t believe there are still people who think Snow has a free hand and that Wang doesn’t interfere in EVERYTHING including the hockey side.

Only reason to cut Snow a break is that he doesn’t have a free hand. Much as I like Snow, he took Bailey over Schenn (struggling but could they use him). This summer he signed Pandolfo, Reasoner, Staios and Rolston instead of guys like Nystrom (surprisingly has 7 goals but his grit was desperately needed), Asham (might have had to pay more than he’s getting but he’s much better than Rolston (floating thru here like Smolinsky did) and brings much needed grit, Park same age as Reasoner (has anyone seen Marty lately?) and would have cost a bit more than Pitt is giving him and is playing better than Reasoner. He gave a damn when last year…does Reasoner care?

  69. avatar Dk says:

Charles F’s everythng hard, but Snow is a mess. Aside from JT whom Helen Keller would have taken everything is off.

Bailey was slotted at 15 plus and went ninth and said he couldn’t believe he went that high. Trading up twice for de Haan with guys like John Moore and Kassian still there. Collecting second round picks and using two in a row on goalies? Weakness is D and he walks on Fowler for Nino who sits a mean press box. Keeping Nabby to start the season for the always suuccessful 3 goalie rotation, then holding out hope for a 2nd round pick for him. But he doesn’t know goaltending since he played …. Oh right he was a goalie. Not a good one but a big one. I smell Koskinen!!!

    Shall I go on?

  70. avatar Dk says:

Plus Snow convinced Wang that Nolan had a talent laden roster that should be a “cup contender” not just a playoff team and got our last very good coach fired.

As you may recall that team had very little talent and Nolan had them up to 7th before injuries struck.

  71. avatar Charlie says:

The idiots on this blog haven’t got a clue.
Pandolfo is a great teammate and an honorable player.
He may have gotten up there in age but he’s a skilled quality player.
Mottau is coming off of a major hip injury and an eye injury that is taking awhile for him to adjust to. He has basically ‘one eye’ taking one for the team a year ago.
You short memory idiots are unaware that Tim Thomas had a similar hip injury in 2009-2010 and in 2010-2011 he played ‘all world’.
This team has talent. What this team is missing is an arena that will allow CW to pay the free agents we deserve after years of mediocrity.
Look at the Bruins, they finally made it after years of mediocrity.
The Islanders will succeed and attacking the current players will get no one any success.
The taxpayers of Nassau County need to realize that the Islanders will be no longer in 3 years and frustration of a lack of paying free agents is due to this lack of financial security by the investors.

    • avatar Blizzard says:

      CHarles?

    • avatar juniorjunior says:

all CW has to do to bring me back in his corner is to have a press conference tomorrow a say something like this:

“I want all Islander fans to know that I will be keeping the Islanders on Long Island. I am currently working on a deal for a new arena and our future in NY is secure. I also want you to know that I am not blind that the current rebuild of the team is taking longer than expected and I wish to ask you for more patience. I am committed to restoring the pride to this organization and my number one goal is to bring the Stanley Cup back to long island where it belongs.”

Wangs PR people are complete idiots and should be fired immediately. I want an owner that wants to win. Otherwise im almost done with this team after 31 years.

    • avatar Dk says:

      Mr Wang does speak!

  72. avatar Not Suprised says:

This team should now officially be known as “Charles Wang’s New York Islanders”.

  73. avatar Ted says:

Take your time Pandolpho. Please don’t rush to come back. I would hate it if you came back to early and you reinjured your foot. I want you to relax and get plenty of rest, and when your 100% you can rehab at Bridgeport before coming back to the Isles. Hopefully, the season will be over by then. Lol…

  74. avatar Buster says:

Things are lookin’ up. Pandolfo were sorry.

  75. avatar Erika says:

As long as big Al is in goal, we have a shot at winning. With D.P, it’s just playing behind the eight ball. We are too fragile to spot the other team by 2 goals.
On Dibo, I remember him having a little fire in the 2 games I watched him play…so come on over! he has to be better than Pandawful. (although I do not like to see any of our players injured).

  76. avatar Don from Levittown says:

It’s funny how most of these posts start with “I don’t like to see anyone get hurt, but….”

Shame on those who are wishing for DP, Reasoner and others to get hurt. That’s just not right.

  77. avatar BobbyNy23 says:

Snow is a moron he will make the unconventional move. Charles Wang writing on the board.

  78. avatar Tom D in NJ says:

When a player plays 21 games and has 1 goal and no assists, that and not the broken foot should have kept him out of the line-up. Pretty sad that this is the kind of news that excites some of the fan base. Thank you Mr. Wang.

  79. avatar Bloody Skull says:

Imagine for a moment that the Isles knew the future of a lease and where they would be playing.

    Boudreau coach:
    OK good enough

let’s not kid ourselves everyone. Wang is a great guy. I can’t even believe that CR@P I am reading. Do you recall the first year he bought the team? Peca, Yashin,Aucoin,Osgood=good team and playoffs. Show Wang a future and he will show you a team.

  80. avatar breaking news says:

ticker on nhl network “nyrags winter classic jersey draws rave reviews”

just reminds me of the incompetent clowns who designed the isles jersey. what a joke.

  81. avatar Jeff says:

Stape is one tough beat reporter. Wang was really sweating after that one

  82. avatar Jeff says:

Hey stape Frost called he wants his Nixon back

  83. avatar Danfromouteast says:

I’m not supposed to say anything but what happened was pandolfo was out taking in some of long islands eateries when while he was eating spilled a condiment on his shoe. Kate Murray was in the area and her keen sense of smell (like all wild boars have) drove her into an eating frenzy and she pounced and bit pandolfos foot. It isn’t fully known the damage to pandolfos foot but what is know is his heel was successfully reattached one toe was not recovered but will not effect his skating and no allergic reaction to the rabies shot. The animal shelter caught up with kate Murray she was released later with no father comment except a grunt or two

  84. avatar MikeInNYC says:

Enough with the boudreau requests. He was fired bc He underachieved with a TALENTED team and a GM who knows what he’s doing. No one can succeed here until the players come around and do thier part, or until a new gm comes in to change personnel.

If anyone watched 24/7 winter classic last season you got a sense for his ineptitude, especially when considered back to back with Dan bylsma

  85. avatar dan says:

let’s hope they beat the slugs tomorrow to start the road trip off the right way.

  86. avatar Rich L says:

To the person who went out and broke Pandolfo’s foot, a big Thank You to You, you da man! lol

  87. avatar Rich L says:

The team improving by the injuries , thats good, kind of like addition, by subtraction .

  88. avatar jeff wall says:

Why they didn’t call up a defenceman to scratch mattau is beyooooond me… According to lighthouse he is the worst in the league and has the stats to prove it. I can understand not wanting to rush, dehan, donovan, or wishart…..but at least Dylan Reese would be an upgrade and it would send a clear messege to Jurcina. Now there are reports of a forward being brought up to join the west coast trip….Is there something Im missing? How can Snow and Cappy look themselves in the mirror and play Mattau? He simply not good enough and is not capable of getting any better.

  89. avatar joeg says:

Wow, they hardly speak to the fans or the media but when they do Dumb and Dumber just show you have bleak our future is in Islander country. Wang states that “we cant spend like big market teams” which means will always be at the cap floor and thats it. Wang then shows his support for Capuano and that other clueless moron Snow. So what do we get out of all this? Wang knows nothing about hockey and will not spend a penny over the cap minimum, and because of that he will stay with an inexperienced and clueless wonder in Snow. You have to expect this from this idiot Wang having had Milbury around for so many years and watching him destroy this franchise. The simple solution is WANG SELL THE F***** TEAM ALREADY!! you dont want to put a competitive team on the ice then sell the team to so one who cares and has a clue on running a hockey team the right way. No other normally run sports franchise would put up with this crap year after year. WANG GET RID OF YOUR PUPPET SNOW AND SELL THE TEAM!!!!!!

I would force the young guys to step up here as injury presents an opportunity to shake up the lines even more

The blog comments by many is by a bunch of morons. Wishing players to get hurt is idiotic.
Cam Neely in his speech when the B’s raised the banner of the SC in Oct spoke of ownership making the championship happen by rubbing his thumb and index finger together indicating one simple thing thanking ownership =$$$.
Until the Isles get a new arena we’ll suffer through mediocrity.
CW is a good owner dealing with limited revenues.
Get over it people. If and that’s a big IF a new arena is built watch out NHL; The Isles will be back!
