Lines 2-4….If it’s broken why fix it?

    • avatar Steve says:

It’s a slight tweak with Rolston being moved down but I would have to agree that rolston and nino should be swapped… i mean ideally they want nino to be a big contributor next year so why not start having him play with bailey since that’s the ideal second line (even if bailey’s not there yet)?

  2. avatar mbk says:

Nino should definitely be moved up to the third line. Other than the first line he seemed to be the only one playing yesterday.

As for Pandolfo, Rolston and Wallace – the root canal I have scheduled for next week is less painful to watch then their recent play. Maybe they can trade Rolston for an extra mascot so Sparky has someone to play with.

  3. avatar George S. in Windsor Ont. says:

mbk- no worries mon, be happy. Sparky, he be gettin plenty-o playtime with charlie ‘an garth in dah sky-high box!!

  4. avatar TONYSAC says:

2nd Line needs to be Grabner Bailey and Nino…

    3rd Line Martin Nielsen PA

If you want BAILEY and Nino to live up to expectations then give the kids a friggin opportunity already> This team makes me sick to my stomach sometimes, yet I cant help but watch every game and give myself AGITA!!!!

  5. avatar isles71 says:

Thank goodness Reese is in tonight…improves defense by 57%!! And if anyone needs to move up it is Martin…Rolston and Pandolfo, they should hide their equipment!!! Rather play with 2 less idiots and give icetime to guys who can actually play…should go back to Poulin after the way he was left out to dry as well
    ….go isles

  6. avatar Jon in Chicago says:

A fourth line is supposed to provide energy and physical play. Wallace, Nino and Pandolfo have none of that. Not like they provide any offense to make up for it. What a waste.

  7. avatar Im Dunne!! says:

Deadly line-up. If I was the Caps, Id be very afraid

  8. avatar Jersey Steve says:

Rolston and Pandolfo are useless….not much else to say.

  9. avatar mikem says:

leaving Neiderreiter oin the 4th line is such a terrible mistake. Isles are in last place. Time to play him and bring up some from Bridgeport to see what we have. Sit Pandolfo for starters.

  10. avatar Kevin says:

Niño is flying tonight and throwing his body around, please reward him by moving him up. nice turnover onthe point by Rolston.

    • avatar Hintonio says:

No bigotry here. All I’m saying is that Rolston and Pandolfo are veterans that have seen their time come and go. I’d rather see the younger prospects making mistakes and learning from it than some washed-up 1 year contract vets making the same mistakes.
And of course, this comment thread deleted my comment for no reason. No curse words, nothing you wouldn’t let an 8 year old read.

  11. avatar Adam from Astoria says:

So now we’re so angry about the state of the team that we’re going to degenerate into bigotry? (Hintonio) Not sure about George S. from Windsor’s comment either, maybe it doesn’t mean anything derogatory.

  12. avatar RICH L says:

People, i’m sure you are familiar with the Rangers GAG line in the 60s, and 70s, or at least heard of it, it consisted of Jean Ratelle,Vic Hatfield, and Rod Gilbert the acronym was Goal a Game, thus GAG line, well it seems the Islanders have 2 GAG lines, because every time I watch them “play” I GAG.
